DENVILLE, NJ - Somebody who attends a Clifton gym to get in shape instead got ripped-off, according to Denville police who said they found the LA Fitness customer's wallet in the car of a Yonkers, N.Y. man on Feb. 25.
The wallet, containing credit cards, a Social Security card and a driver's license, was found during a search of a car, being driven by Julian Horrabin, 25, when Horrabin was pulled-over on Indian Road, police said.
They said they stopped Horrabin after observing him following too closely behind another car. They also said the vehicle Horrabin was driving had a number of problems, including a noisy muffler.
During the stop, police discovered Horrabin had in his possession - in addition to the stolen wallet - some marijuana and drug paraphernalia, they said. Horrabin was charged with credit card theft, receiving stolen property, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, following too closely, obstruction of view, noisy muffler and operation of a motor vehicle while in possession of narcotics.
They also said Clifton police filed an additional charge of theft against Horrabin, who was released on his own recognizance.
