DENVILLE, NJ – The Denville Police Department announced today it is looking for new officers.
The department said it is "seeking qualified and energetic applicants," noting the ideal candidates "possess the department's core values of honesty, integrity, fairness, compassion and respect."
To qualify, applicants must have at least 60 college credits, said the department. It said it will give preference to prospective officers who have bachelor degrees.
"The hiring process shall consist of a physical fitness examination, interview panels and a comprehensive background investigation," said the announcement. It noted that police officers in Denville earn starting salaries of $50,227 and get health insurance as well as enrollment in the state pension system.
