DENVILLE, NJ-- Rockaway native, Danielle Lewis, has officially been appointed as the new Denville Township Deputy Municipal Clerk. Her acceptance was just part of a very busy Town Council agenda on June 28.
Lewis, who is taking over for retired Deputy Municipal Clerk, Kathy Costello, has a degree from Fordham University. Her duties will include keeping minutes of meetings, handling correspondence, and other administrative tasks.
During the previous workshop meeting, the council discussed the changes to the fees that were approved at last night's meeting. The new fees are as follows:
Picnic Pavillion: $25 for residents, $75 for non residents.
Athletic Fields, Two hour block: $125 for residents, $250 for non residents, and $500 for commerical use.
Police: $75 application fee which will cover a written and fitness exam before being invited in for the interview process.
"The fees for athletic fields are not meant to discourage pick up games on any given day," Business Administrator, Steve Ward noted, "The PAL is also not affected by these fees."
Among other items approved at the meeting, the Board voted to sign the lease over to the Denville Historical Society on 501 Openaki Road. The lease is good for 50 years with the option to extend for an extra 25 years.
The next meeting of the Denville Town Council will take place on July 12 in the Municipal Building at 7:30 p.m.
