Denville’s TOP REALTOR Mary K. Sheeran Donates to Project Playground 2.0

Denville resident and real estate agent Mary K. Sheeran presented a $5000 donation to Denville’s PAL Project Playground 2.0 fundraising campaign on Tuesday, June 27, 2017. The mission of the committee is to renovate, rebuild, and restore the centrally located Gardner Field playground in Denville. They have a goal of raising $250,000 to purchase updated equipment, repair broken walkways, address safety concerns, and, more importantly, make sure the playground is more welcoming to children of all ages, of all needs, and of all challenges.

“I am excited to support this project,” Mary said. “My children enjoyed many, many good times at the playground when they were younger. I am happy to contribute to a project that supports our Denville families and their children; this is one of the many reasons why people love to make Denville their home!”

The donation check was presented to Denville Mayor Tom Andes, Project Playground 2.0 Chairman Don Casse and Committee Chairperson Vicki Harrison on behalf of the Mary K. Sheeran Team. “We are quite excited to receive such a generous donation for our cause. Mary’s enthusiasm for the town and in support of the PAL Around Denville Public Art Installation in particular only underscores what a welcoming and creative town we live in,” Vicki stated.

The art installation, inspired by local resident Vicki Harrison, is on display through July along the fence surrounding the playground as well as in various spots throughout town. Numerous area businesses, organizations and families created works of art using wooden cutouts of “Pals” and “Dots.” The Mary K. Sheeran Team created their own Pal and Dot and also doubled the amount of money raised by the installation with their donation. 

 “Vicki’s talent for organization & creativity shines through in every project she manages. I am proud to have her as Promotions Coordinator for my Team. And, we are lucky to have her talents put to such good use in Denville,” Mary stated. Through Vicki’s volunteer efforts and Mary’s contribution, the playground has put another $10,000+ in their renovation fund.
