DENVILLE, NJ - A Dover man, stopped by police on Route 80 this week, was found to be holding a "large sum" of money, various drugs including oxycodone and drug paraphernalia, police said.

The man, Joan Santana-Suarez, 35, was pulled over due to moving violations, including speeding and failing to signal, on Feb. 6, police said. During the stop, police found that Santana-Suarez was the subject of arrest warrants out of Teaneck and Bridgewater, police said.

They also said he was driving with a suspended license. But the major charges levied against Santana-Suarez related to the items police contend he possessed including oxycodone, THC edibles/concentrates and marijuana. They also said he was carrying "a large sum of US currency."

Santana-Suarez was placed in the county jail pending a court appearance, police said.
