Under the leadership of a new coaching staff, the Golden Eagles extended their record to 2-1.

“The players understood what they needed to do on the field to get today’s victory,” stated Morris Knolls Head Coach Patricia Fornaro.

Fornaro also noted room for growth. “We didn’t execute as well as we should and as well as we can.”

When reflecting on the team’s strengths, Fornaro credits its experience (there are 15 seniors) and camaraderie (they want to be on the field together).

Fornaro and Assistant Coach Christine Aschoff are new to the team this year, with this season marking Fornaro’s 11th year coaching field hockey overall.

The Golden Eagles will travel to Roxbury on Thur., Sept. 12, for a 4 p.m. start.
