MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ – Morris County’s Frelinghuysen Arboretum kicked off its 28th annual Gingerbread Wonderland on Fri, Dec 6. The exhibition, which also includes a weekend craft show, typically attracts more than 12,000 people countywide and beyond. The edible masterpieces are on display through Sun, Dec 15.
The Gingerbread Wonderland gives people of all ages an opportunity to build gingerbread houses of their own. Individuals, families, schools and scout troops can enter their houses in the gingerbread contest. People walk around and view each gingerbread house and at the end of the tour, each spectator can cast his or her vote for his or her favorite gingerbread house. TAPinto had an opportunity to view some of this year’s entries. Photos are attached.
Located at 353 East Hanover Avenue in Morris Township, the Gingerbread Wonderland can be viewed Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday-Sunday, 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
