DENVILLE, NJ – Morris Knolls girls soccer earned its first victory of the season when it defeated Somerville, 2-1, in overtime at home on Tue., Sept. 17.

Madison Palma scored both goals for the Golden Eagles; one in the first period along with the winning goal in overtime. Samantha Murray had one assist.

Golden Eagle goalie Kate Walsh had 11 saves.

Alexandra Peterson scored for Somerville. Shantal Romero saved 14.

Looking to extend its record to 2-4, the 1-4 Golden Eagles will host Roxbury (0-2-1) on Thur., Sept. 19, at 4 p.m.
