DENVILLE, NJ - Freshman right-hander Anthony Gonzalez pitched five innings of one-run relief and Peter DeMaria connected for his third homer of the young season as Chatham rallied for a 16-6 baseball victory over Morris Catholic on Thursday.

Morris Catholic took a 5-1 lead into the fourth inning before Chatham (2-0) pushed across seven runs with the help of Bobby Briganti's three-run double. The Cougars scored five more runs in the fifth and three in the sixth.

DeMaria, Ben Gorski, Sean Lee and Ryan Drum each rapped three hits in the 19-hit outburst by Chatham. Gonzalez was the winner in relief, striking out six and walking one.

Chatham meets Morristown, 4 p.m. Friday at Diamond Nation in Flemington.
