SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – The Stillman School of Business and its Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at Seton Hall University will host the fifth annual Pirates Pitch competition for aspiring high school entrepreneurs. The Pirates Pitch competition affords students across the nation the opportunity to showcase their entrepreneurial talents and business ideas for a chance to compete for more than $50,000 in cash awards and scholarships to attend Seton Hall University. The top prize is a $2,500 cash award and a $10,000 scholarship.
The competition is designed to provide high school students the opportunity to learn entrepreneurship basics and idea generation. High school sophomores, juniors and seniors with a grade point average of at least 3.0 are eligible to participate.
To enter, students must submit an original business idea that describes an innovative product or service they would like to create. Entries must be submitte at www.shu.edu/2019pitch by Oct. 29, 2019.
An independent panel of judges will review all entries. The top 10 finalists will be invited to the Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey, on Nov. 22, 2019, to present their business idea or discuss a business they now operate.
