DENVILLE, NJ – Morris Knolls boys varsity basketball continues its hunt for a second win of the season after falling to West Morris 64-44 at home on Jan. 9. First to put points on the scoreboard, West Morris never looked back thereafter. Its deep bench was the gamechanger with nine of its players netting baskets compared to Morris Knolls’s five.
Morris Knolls’s Patrick Sinegra and West Morris’s Christian Cevis were the game’s leading scorers with 15 points each. Sinegra also had six rebounds, three assists and two steals. Other Morris Knolls contributors included Dan Byrnes with 11 points, one rebound and one steal; Riley Furlong with 10 points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal; Justin Kahn with five points, three rebounds and one steal; and Mateo Arias Duval with three points and one rebound.
The 1-8 Golden Eagles will travel to Parsippany Hills on Tuesday, Jan. 15, for a 7 p.m. game start.
