DENVILLE, NJ-- On Wednesday, April 27, the New Jersey League of Nursing held the 2016 LPN Student Education Day at the Pines Manor in Edison. This all-day program is dedicated to those students who are just entering the nursing profession as Practical Nurses. NJLN provides encouragement to these students to persevere in completing and advancing their professional training. Students and their instructors are treated to breakfast, lunch and workshops on topics such as legal issues, resume writing as well as future goals.

NJLN awards scholarships, one to each class attending the event, in the amount of $250. Financial hurdles face all students. NJLN recognizes those students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievements in their respective classes and have demonstrated those personal qualities that are necessary to be successful in the nursing profession.

This year's recipient of the NJLN LPN Scholarship Award, Morris County Vocational School District 2016 LPN class, is Billy Correa of Phillipsburg, NJ. Billy is pictured here with Ed Quinones, principal instructor of the LPN program.
