DENVILLE, NJ – Denville Police responded to a motor vehicle crash on Diamond Spring Road on Sat., Sept. 14, that involved two pedestrians struck by Alejandro H. Sandoval-Rosales (48) of Budd Lake, according to an incident report released by Denville Police on Sept. 16.

While the police were not at liberty to disclose the names of the victims, the report stated that one was an adult male and the other an adult woman. According to the report, the Denville First Aid Squad transported both victims to Morristown Medical Center. Denville Police confirmed that both victims are residents of Montville and that their injuries were reported initially as minor.

According to Denville Police’s incident report, Sandoval-Rosales allegedly had been operating the vehicle while intoxicated. The police subsequently arrested him and charged him with assault by auto resulting in injury, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and careless driving.

The police released Sandoval-Rosales into the custody of a family member pending a future Morris County Superior Court appearance.
