DENVILLE, NJ – Morris Knolls varsity ice hockey and boys basketball fell to their opponents over the weekend.
The Morris Knolls ice hockey team’s winning-streak ended at four with a 6-2 defeat by Summit on Fri., Jan. 17, at the Mennen Sports Arena in Morristown. Jason Kwestel scored a short-handed goal in the second period, assisted by Andrew Ryan. Jake Quinn netted the second goal in the third period, assisted by Nick Torres and Jeffrey Quinn. The 8-4-2 Golden Eagles will attempt to restart a new winning streak when they face Morristown-Beard (10-2-1) on Mon., Jan. 20, at 8:30 p.m., at Mennen Sports Arena.
In a lopsided performance, Chatham outplayed Morris Knolls boys basketball, 60-37, at Fairleigh Dickinson University on Sun., Jan. 19. Struggling to mark space in the win column consistently, Morris Knolls (2-7) will play Newton (8-4) on the road, Wed., Jan. 22, at 7 p.m.
