MORRISTOWN, NJ - The Morristown Colonials are headed to the NJSIAA/Investors Bank North Jersey, Section 1, Group 4 finals following an overwhelming 16-3 win against Morris Knolls in the semifinals on Tuesday.

The Colonials got on the scoreboard less than 30 seconds into the game, and went on an 8-0 run before Morris Knolls responded with a goal of their own. The Colonials’ used their offensive depth and balanced attack to spread out the scoring amongst many players.
 
Morristown’s defense was relentless in the contest, picking up many ground balls and holding the Golden Eagles to only three goals. Amelia Drake played lights out in net, registering 9 saves in today’s game.
 
 
Morristown’s offensive production was led by Nicole Ferrara with 4 goals and 2 assists. Sarah Chupak, Sarah Grace Plott, and Annika Begley all netted a hat trick in the contest. Callie Sundin added two goals and 5 assists. Victoria Ferrara chipped in one..
 
The number two seed Colonials will look to bring this energy to Friday’s state sectional final game against number one seed Ridgewood. The game will be played at 4:00 pm at Ridgewood High School.
