MORRISTOWN, NJ --  Galina Kustanovich of Morristown was attempting to cross the street when she was struck by a motor vehicle, announced officials. She suffered serious injuries and was transported to Morristown Medical Center where she died at approximately 9:30pm, they said.

The 80 year old was crossing Ann Street in Morristown around 2:12pm on Friday June 7 when she was struck by a vehicle driven by Lt. Kristi Allegretta of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office. Allegretta was driving a county-owned Ford Explorer when she turned left off Schuyler Place onto Ann Street and struck Kustanovich.

The investigation is being conducted by the Passaic County Prosecutors Office at the Direction of the Division of Criminal Justice with the assistance of the Morristown Police Department.
