Morristown's Unity Charter School Finds Success at Lakewood Track Meet


The Unity Charter School's track team traveled to Lakewood on Saturday to run in the 3rd Annual New Jersey Track and Field Invitational against 12 other schools in their division (22 total schools in all). Unity earned medals in 7 events including 5 top three finishes.

Genevieve, Bridget, and Veronika earned 5-6-7th medals in shot-put.  Bridget also took home 4th place in the long jump. The girls kept up their winning ways with Grace placing 3rd and 5th in the 200m and 100m dashes, and she also was joined by Asia, Genevieve, and Desiree to earn 3rd in the 4x100 relay race. 

One of the stars of the show was Matthew who took home two third place medals in the 100m and 400m, as well as a first place finish in the Long Jump with a winning distance of 15'5.75". 

"An amazing day for all our runners, jumpers, throwers, and entire Unity family!", said Connie Sanchez, Unity Charter School Principal. "Go Wolves!"
