DENVILLE, NJ – Downtown Denville officially welcomed its newest business, MyCBD Organics, when the health and wellness store held a grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sat., Oct. 12.

“I’m definitely excited for this grand opening,” said Giovanni Paul, owner of MyCBD Organics.

“We’re already getting a good reception from Denville and hope to provide quality products for people with chronic issues. Our products are not only for people with ailing issues, they also help maintain health as well.”

MyCBD Organics provides customers with and educates the public about quality Cannabidiol (CBD) products. CBD is a chemical compound that comes from the non-intoxicating cannabis extract found in hemp plants. CBD is used to treat chronic joint and muscle pains, nausea, inflammation, sleep troubles, headaches, cramps, skin irritation, frequent urination, stiffness and digestive issues. It is not marijuana.

“I’m excited for the business and love the adventure,” said Denise Menard, a Parsippany resident who has worked with Paul at CBD for more than five years as an associate.

“I hope to educate people on our products. It’s personal for me because my mother passed away in July from cancer. Once we found CBD, that helped her with the pain, the nausea, and the chemo. It was a godsend.”

Prior to MyCBD Organics, Paul and his wife Sharquana worked as corporate professionals in the financial and social services industries in New York City.

“We both have had a long commitment to natural physical and mental wellness. So, when the CBD industry began to become more popular and accepted, and especially after the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill, we became interested in owning a CBD store,” said Paul.

“We have a personal commitment to educating the community about CBD and providing superior quality CBD products to anyone with beauty, mind and physical wellness concerns. Since MyCBD Organics is a franchise, it provided a way for us to launch quickly and seamlessly, and with support of a national network of other CBD store owners.”

MyCBD Organics has locations as far as Georgia. But now their commitment to health and community support has come to the Garden State, and many New Jersey towns are happy to see a store open near them.

“CBD is a part of the Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce,” said Robert J. Peluso, president of the Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce.

“We’re proud to support our members and the residents throughout the Morris County area. I hope people get an opportunity to use organic products for pain, inflammation and recovery. We’re proud to support families and economic development in Morris County.”

The Denville community also came out to support MyCBD Organics.

“We love the new business coming to town,” said Ryan Gleason, executive director of Downtown Denville Business Improvement District, which (as its name implies) works to promote all businesses in Downtown Denville.

“It goes to show that Denville is quick to fill its vacant spots and is a place for businesses to grow!”

Even MyCBD Organics’s neighbors, such as Weenies Restaurant, were happy to see new faces on Broadway.

“We like having fun and new neighbors because they are bringing something unique to Denville,” said Kaidi Dey, a Denville resident and the general manager of Weenies.

“Empty store fronts are bad -- the more variety, the better. And the owners of MyCBD are wonderful people. I look forward to working with them.”

Denville Mayor Thomas Andes had nothing but good wishes for MyCBD Organics as he assisted to cut the ribbon with Paul and his family and employees.

“I’m happy to see new businesses on Broadway with unique products,” said Mayor Andes.

“I wish them all the best.”

During that afternoon, visitors were treated to refreshments and music by jazz/blues band Nova Duo. Employees of the new township business also gave lectures on their CBD products, eager to share information in the “Hub of Morris County.”

As one of its promotions, MyCBD Organics plans to offer a wellness and beauty giveaway valued at $120. Anyone who visits the store and makes a purchase during November, December and January can enter their name to receive a $40 store credit for three months. Moreover, the store will place a pink ribbon on its doors and remain open for extended hours on Pink Witches Night Out, Thur., Oct. 17, and will donate 10 percent of its proceeds in support of breast cancer awareness.

“Our opening was unquestionably a tremendous success,” said Paul.

“Having vast support from the community members is at the heart of our successful opening, and we feel so welcomed and grateful. But having multiple city mayors at our event, as well as county officials, leaders from the business district, and hard-working residents of Denville, or commuters and others who frequent the city and took time to welcome us and patronize us, was very humbling. We want to invite anyone who cares about taking their wellness and beauty to the highest level to come out and support our business, but most importantly, to invest in themselves by trying our premiere CBD products, that are all organic, non-GMO, certified, and made in the U.S.A. We are proud to provide the best CBD available to our local patrons, many of whom we hope will become, not just our neighbors, but our friends.”
