DENVILLE, NJ – The Morris Knolls wrestling team’s journey to a 2020 sectional title came to an end at Mount Olive on Wed., Feb. 12. Fourth-seed Morris Knolls fell to top-seed Mount Olive, 55-15, in the semifinal round of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association North Jersey, Section 1, Group 4, Tournament.

Three wrestlers earned wins for the Golden Eagles: Gavin Braun (145 lbs.), David Turner (152 lbs.) and Kevin Walter (220 lbs.). Braun and Walter got pins. Turner scored by decision.

Mount Olive (17-2) earned six pins, one major decision and three decisions to advance to the final round where it will face second-seed Fair Lawn (15-6-2) at home on Fri., Feb. 14, at 6 p.m.

The 13-5 Golden Eagles will resume its regular season when it participates in a quad meet against Pompton Lakes, Ramsey and Voorhees at Ramsey High School on Sat., Feb. 15, starting at 9 a.m.
