DENVILLE, NJ – Both the Morris Knolls boys and girls soccer teams shut out Sparta this week. The boys defeated Sparta, 1-0, on the road on Thur., Oct. 15. The girls earned their victory the next day at home, 2-0.

Chris Sabogal scored the only goal for the Golden Eagles, assisted by Giocomo Zizza. Morris Knolls goalie Sean Boen had seven saves for the boys.

After going scoreless in the first half, Hayley Brookes netted the ball for the Lady Eagles. Julia Baranello kicked the second goal. Brookes and Mylie McDonough each earned one assist. Morris Knolls goalkeeper Megan Brady made four saves.

The boys (2-1-1) will host Morris Hills (0-3-1), on Mon., Oct. 19, at 4 p.m.

The girls (4-1) will face Morris Hills (1-3-1) on the road, Mon., Oct. 19, at 4 p.m.
