On Wednesday, October 26, 2016, The Montessori Children’s Academy (MCA) will host a Parent Education Night featuring Teresa LaSala, author, licensed nurse, and Certified Positive Discipline Associate.  Teresa’s presentation will focus on Parenting with Positive Discipline, and we look forward to hearing her insights into how adults can work with children to build communication and problem solving skills, develop strategies for reducing misbehavior, and create an atmosphere of respect and belonging in our families.  Passionate and enthusiastic about her work, Teresa is an engaging, entertaining, and informative speaker who shares valuable information in a humorous, warm-hearted manner.

Ms. LaSala provides training, consultation, and supportive services to students, parents, teachers, and administrators in public, private, and charter schools, facilitates Positive Discipline workshops, and presents at professional conferences.  In addition to publishing two books, “Positive Discipline in the School and Classroom Teachers' Guide: Activities for Students” and “Positive Discipline in the School and Classroom Leaders' Guide: Resources and Activities”, she received an award from the NJ State Department of Education for implementing a “Role Model Character Education Program”, just one of her many achievements.  Her contributions to the families, schools, and communities with which she has worked have been highly praised.

Join us at our MCA Morristown Campus at 6 Kahn Road, Morristown, NJ 07960 from 6:30-8:30 PM for an interactive evening where Teresa will describe practical, creative parenting methods that employ positive discipline, and share with us how disciplining children can be done with respect, firmness, and love.  Childcare will be provided during the event for children ages 2 ½ years and older.  Please call (973) 410-9669 to RSVP.  This event is free and open to the public.
