Valleyview Middle School Wrestling Places Four in Top 4 of Greater Morris County Tournament

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ – Four Valleyview Middle School wrestlers placed in the top 4 of their respective weight classes during this past weekend’s Greater Morris County Middle School Wrestling Tournament.

Jack Napeloni led the way for Valleyview by winning the 102-pound weight class. HE defeated Mt. Olive’s Brian Bienus by a 2-0 decision. Napeloni won his previous two matches by way of opening minute pinfalls in route to his county title.

87-pounder Lenny Cocca and 92-pounder Shane Perry both placed third. Cocca defeated Pequannock’s Carson Wells via pin, while Perry won by a 10-0 major decision.

Joe Cobos, Valleyview’s 165-pound representative placed fourth after being pinned the third place match by East Hanover’s Vin Rispoli.

Overall, Valleyview finished the team tournament in 10th place.

With 176 team points, Frelinghuysen Middle School (Morristown) rolled to the title, outpacing runner up Mount Olive by 37 points.  East Hanover Middle School placed third with 129.5 team points.
