MORRISTOWN, NJ - On July 31, the longtime Director of the Morris County Division on Aging, Disabilities and Veterans, announced her retirement after nearly three decades of service to residents of Morris County.
Theresa Davis, a Denville resident, began her career as a research assistant in 1986 and quickly moved up the ranks to program coordinator in 1988, principle planner in 1990, and program development specialist by 1993.
“Theresa has long served some of our neediest people – elderly, disabled and veterans, in particular,’’ said Morris County Freeholder Director Kathy DeFillippo. “It has been a comfort to many freeholder boards to know that Theresa was standing behind us, protecting the most vulnerable residents of the county. She will be sorely missed.’’
Davis was appointed as Morris County Nutrition Program Director in 1994, and was named Director of the Morris County Division on Aging Disabilities and Veterans later that same year.
“Theresa has been a strong leader in the community and advocate for seniors and people with disabilities and veterans throughout her career in Morris County,’’ said Morris County Human Services Director Jennifer Carpinteri. She has touched the lives of many county residents. I thank her for her years of service and wish her the very best.’’
