DENVILLE, NJ – The Township of Denville Planning Board approved the construction permit for the anticipated Trader Joe’s coming soon to The Shoppes at Union Hill on Route 10 in Denville. Approved on May 28, the permit allows for façade renovation, interior preparation for electrical and plumbing, and fire protection installation at the storefronts that formerly housed Bensi Italian Restaurant and Pier 1 Imports at the western end of the shopping center.

While passersby could see exterior changes to the property imminently, when asked the estimated time frame for beginning and finishing the façade renovations, Retail Properties of America, Inc. (RPAI), owner of The Shoppes at Union Hill, responded that it could not provide a comment at this time. Prospectively, “we encourage you to visit RPAI.com to find the latest news and information related to any new store openings and property announcements,” advised Tim O’Connell, RPAI’s vice president of corporate communications. Accordingly, TAPinto Denville will check in periodically and continue to provide project updates as they become available.
