DENVILLE, NJ – The Denville Triathlon takes place today, 7-10:30 a.m.

At 7 a.m., the following roads will be closed for the bicycle portion of the event: Entrance Way to Diamond Spring Road to Pocono Road to Old Boonton Road to Bush Road to River Road.

Because no vehicles will be allowed to travel against the flow of the bicycles on the closed course, from 7-9:15 a.m., the following routes must be used for points along the bicycle route, according to the Denville Police Department:

1. All Cedar Lake and Rock Ridge residents must exit their communities using Cedar Lake Road to Morris Avenue to Savage Road.

2. All Saint Clare’s Hospital Traffic (excluding emergencies) must use Diamond Spring Road to Pocono Road for hospital access.

3. All Rockaway River Country Club members must come from the Boulevard side of Pocono Road for club access.

4. Denville Community Church members must use Morris Avenue to gain access to Diamond Spring Road.

5. All Peace Pipe Members must use Powerville Road to Old Denville Road to Bush Road for club access.

Around 7:30 a.m., after participants complete the bike portion of the race, the following roads will be closed for the running course: Summit Drive to Barnes Pass to Lake Road to Whaleback Waddy to Canyon Road to North Road to Summit Drive to McDermott Pass to East Glen Road to Florence Avenue to Mulberry Lane to Winding Way to Edgewater Drive to the foot path of Rock Ridge Club House and back to Entrance Way.

All Rock Ridge and Cedar Lake residents must use Cedar Lake East to Cedar Lake Road to Morris Avenue to Savage Road to exit their communities from 7-10 a.m.
