DENVILLE, NJ – National Night Out returns to Denville, Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 6 p.m., hosted by the Denville Police Department.
The Denville Police Department invites neighbors in the Denville area to gather at the Riverview Elementary School (33 St. Mary’s Place) in solidarity with more than 16,000 communities across the nation in observance of National Night Out. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships, with the goal of making neighborhoods safer and more caring places to live.
“You will have the opportunity to meet many of our officers and get an opportunity to see the various equipment we have available in our patrol vehicles. The Denville Volunteer Fire Department, Denville Animal Control, Northern NJ Safe Kids, Office of Emergency Management and others will also be on site as well,” stated the Denville Police Department in an announcement.
The event, which is free and open to everyone, will feature a "Dunk-a-Cop" tank, food served by Denville PBA 142 and a special outdoor screening of the movie, A Dog's Way Home, beginning at dusk.
