MORRISTOWN, NJ -- The Junior League of Morristown (JLM) is accepting scholarship applications from individuals who live in Morris or Somerset counties.
The $2,500 High School Volunteerism Scholarship is available to applicants who are judged primarily on their demonstrated commitment to volunteerism and community service. All applicants must be planning to attend an accredited college, university or trade school in the fall of 2021.
Students also are invited to apply for the $2,500 Post-Secondary Education Assistance Grant. The primary criterion for this new grant is a commitment to continuing education after high school and the ability to demonstrate how the JLM scholarship will further those goals. Strong leadership skills, academic performance, participation in extracurricular activities, work or family responsibilities and financial circumstances will be considered.
The JLM also invites women over 40 years of age who are planning to attend, or are currently enrolled in, college or trade school after taking time away from school to submit applications for its $2,500 Woman Moving Forward Scholarship. The primary criterion is a commitment to advancing oneself through education. Financial need is considered.
The application deadline is Feb 19. Winners will be notified in April. To access the scholarship applications and additional information, visit https://www.jlmnj.org/?nd=scholarships.
