DENVILLE, NJ -- It was a different kind of graduation for Rhyme and Reason this year. Instead of an in-person graduation, to abide by the COVID-19 regulations, they decided to have a drive-by graduation. This was a safe way they could all celebrate and be together.

Throughout the years Rhyme and Reason has become more than a daycare/preschool -- they have become a family. The graduates and their families participated in a procession of vehicles through town and circled around the daycare led by Denville Police. Teachers and staff cheered as each graduate rolled by in their vehicles.

Each graduate received his or her moment in the spotlight, as they took pictures and received their diplomas one by one. The graduates were happy to see their teachers after school being closed for so long. Families got into the spirit of things by decorating their cars with balloons, streamers and congratulations signs. This gave the graduates the recognition they all deserved. Even though this was not the graduation Rhyme and Reason envisioned at the start of the school year, they were still able to make a meaningful celebration.

"All of our families that have graduated from Rhyme and Reason will be truly missed, and they will hold a special place in our hearts," stated Michelle Melgarejo, owner of Rhyme and Reason.
