DENVILLE, NJ -- The Denville Township School District announced that after consulting with the Denville Department of Health, it will cancel all non-essential school functions as of Fri. March 13, until further notice.
The district has defined "non-essential school functions" as:
Athletics and extracurricular activities
Outside organization building usage
Before-care and aftercare facilitated by the YMCA will continue.
The time on Friday morning will be used to plan for continued education during a mandatory long-term school closing. Also during the delayed opening, a deeper cleaning of buildings and buses will be conducted.
The district will continue to share its decisions on any school closings. Decisions on conferences for March 18-20 are to follow.
