WAYNE, NJ -- The Rosemary Becchi for Congress campaign opened up a new office in Wayne, New Jersey, right in the middle of a busy strip mall and shopping center. The Preakness Shopping Center in Wayne will provide a visible storefront for the 11th Congressional District Candidate and her staff for their daily operations.
"We chose to open a second campaign office here in Wayne, because we want to be close to the community here. We continue to gain support in Wayne and wanted to show our appreciation and be available to hear their concerns in person," Becchi said.
What happens in Wayne may clearly determine how Becchi does in Passaic county, which Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill won by about 3,000 votes in 2018.
Chris Vergano, the mayor of Wayne, told supporters, “Wayne is a Republican town.”
Also in attendance to show support, in a socially distant mask wearing manner, were State Republican Chairman Doug Steinhardt, Passaic County Vice Chairwoman Joanie Walsh, Wayne Councilman Franco Mazzei, Former Wayne Councilwoman Aileen Rivera, Somerset County Republican Chairman Tim Howes, Morris County Republican Chairwoman Laura Ali, Passaic State Committeewoman Susan Enderly and Gubernatorial candidate and former Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli.
