DENVILLE, NJ – During its regular meeting on Tue Dec 15, the Denville Township Municipal Council awarded CMS Construction, Inc., of Plainfield, a $628,540 contract to reconstruct the primary spillway for Cook’s Pond Dam. CMS Construction was one of six contractors to bid on the project.

Work on the dam will begin in the spring of 2021, according to Denville Business Administrator Steven Ward. CMS Construction will pause in the summer to allow the swim program to operate in its normal fashion. At the end of the swim season, CMS Construction will resume its work.

Cook’s Pond Dam is one of 66 dams in Morris County.
