DENVILLE, NJ -- Did you miss the last drop off event? Don't worry, there are three dates remaining.

The Morris County Municipal Utilities Authority (MCMUA) will conduct  Household Hazardous Waste Disposal events where area residents can drop off household hazardous waste for free. Residents can drop off acceptable hazardous material on Saturday, June 8, September 14 and October 19. 

Acceptable hazardous material that can be dropped off include: pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, oil-based paints, stains, paint thinners and removers, solvents, automotive fluids, lead acid and rechargeable batteries, pool chemicals, and darkroom chemicals, aerosol cans (not empty), propane and helium cylinders, small quantities of asbestos (wetted, double bagged and sealed with duct tape -100 pound limit), driveway sealant, roofing tar, fluorescent bulbs, PCB-ballasts, mercury thermometers and switches, household cleaning products, muriatic acid.

Latex paint is not considered hazardous and will not be accepted. Explosive or highly reactive materials (picric acid or nitro compounds) are also not accepted.

Times of drop off are 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at all locations.

June 8 - Hazardous Waste Drop Off at the County College of Morris, Parking Lot #1, 214A Center Grove Road, Randolph

September 14 - Hazardous Waste Drop Off at the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy, 500 West Hanover Avenue, Parsippany

October 19 - Hazardous Waste Drop Off at the Pequanock Valley Park, Maravin Road, Pompton Plains.
