MORRISTOWN, NJ – First Lady Tammy Murphy is scheduled to tour Atlantic Health System Morristown Medical Center's Frontline Healthcare Worker COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic Thursday afternoon.
Governor Murphy and New Jersey Department of Health State Commissioner Judy Persichilli will visit Robert Wood Johnson University Hospitals's Frontline Healthcare Worker COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic earlier in the morning.
The visits come after both hospitals began to provide the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
"Today is a great day," said Brian Gragnolati, president and CEO of Atlantic Health System. "The ability to have vaccines now being distributed to sites where they will be administered is something that has so much promise".
"We have a lot of confidence about this vaccine," he said. "And we know that this is really what it's going to take to really stop playing defense against this virus and now we are going to play offense against it and I'm really excited about that."
Atlantic Health System Morristown Medical Center in Morristown became one of only six hospitals in New Jersey to receive the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine, launching its COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic for employees.
