DENVILLE, NJ -- Denville is among seven Morris County towns ranked as one of the top 100 safest communities in the United States, according to Safewise.
The SafeWise annual national security survey listed Mount Olive (#12), Washington Township (#24), Jefferson Township (#28), Randolph (#33), Roxbury (#40), Denville (#46) and Morris Township (#69) as towns that are the safest place to live in the nation.
“This is an opportunity to recognize police officers, city officials and neighborhood watch leaders for their efforts. It’s a great chance to shine a light on a municipality's continuing commitment to public safety,” said Safewise Communications Manager Sage Singleton.
SafeWise has been conducting and sharing the results of a comprehensive study of safety in the U.S. for six years, said the company. According to their reporting, for the second consecutive year, New Jersey communities comprised more than 25 percent of the top 100 list. Bergenfield, in Bergen County, was ranked #5.
