DENVILLE, NJ – Denville Voices Against Racial Injustice will hold a solidarity march and rally today, June 8, in response to the death of George Floyd.

Demonstrators will gather on Bloomfield Avenue in the area of McCarter Park at 6 p.m. The march will start at 6:15 p.m.

The rally will take place in the Upper Bloomfield Avenue Parking Lot and will include various speakers and a moment of silence. The rally is expected to conclude no later than 8 p.m.

While parking will be limited, parking for those who wish to participate in the march and/or rally will be available as follows:

  • in the Lower Bloomfield Avenue Parking Lot, along Bloomfield Avenue between Route 46 and McCarter Park,
  • in the West Main Street Parking Lot, along Diamond Spring Road (north of First Avenue)
  • along Church Street
  • in the Church Street Parking Lot, and
  • along Second Avenue.

Traffic delays and detours in Downtown Denville can be expected commencing at 4:30 p.m.

Denville Police reminds participants to wear face coverings in compliance with COVID-19 executive orders and maintain social distancing as much as possible.
