RANDOLPH, NJ -- The second annual Randolph Arts in the Park festival will be held rain or shine on Saturday, May 18 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Community Center Complex on Calais Road. This free festival for all ages features live performances, a juried visual art show, author readings, tiny book-making, art immersion rooms, food trucks and more.

The performance schedule has been released and can be seen at www.randolphartsinthepark.com. Performance highlights include Randolph’s own “Bishop of Jazz” Rio Clemente and his band, Big Jeff (for kids!), popular jam band MArsoupial, a Radio City Rockette, Bollywood dancing, Nick Saunier Music, Gabby Toledo, No Strings Attached Quartet, and more. Local authors will be reading and signing books, and Pete the Cat will be on hand for fun activities and photos. The visual art show features more than 30 local artists who will be displaying and selling art of every medium. Back by popular demand are the Art Immersion (or “selfie”) rooms created by local artists and the RHS Art Honor Society; make sure to swipe to add the Randolph Arts in the Park logo to your snapchats. The Creativity Caravan will be on hand with their Tiny Book Show and book-making workshop, and a Kidzone will offer something fun for kids of all ages.

Of course, any festival would not be complete without food, and this year will feature Nicola’s Wood Fired Pizza, Colonial Grill and Playa Bowls, along with a coffee and bake sale. Local knitters have been preparing a very special “yarn-bomb” display. Also new for this year is the added feature of prize gift baskets. Prizes include gift certificates from Aspen Ice, Jerry’s Artist Outlet, Acme, and many more. Make sure to get your program stamped at the four locations at the festival to receive your entry ticket.
