ELIZABETH, NJ - Police and first aid responders were called to an accident involving a Lime Scooter on the evening of Nov 20 at approximately 8 p.m. According to the Breaking News Network (BNN) and a source at the scene, the accident resulted in a fatality. 

According to sources at the scene, a 16-year-old male was riding on a Lime scooter and rode into a large tow truck in the area of Elizabeth Avenue and South Spring Street. Sources also reported that upon arrival first responders immediately started CPR and the victim was quickly rushed away by ambulance to Trinitas Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

The accident comes less than a month after Elizabeth introduced the new form of transportation with the Lime electric scooter pilot program.
