DENVILLE, NJ – The Denville Police Department announced on Fri., Feb. 14, that several surrounding townships began investigating reports of motor vehicle burglaries that occurred Thursday night, Feb. 13. In its announcement the Denville Township Police Department reminded residents to continue to be vigilant and remember their #9pmroutine, which urges people to double-check to make sure they lock their vehicles and homes each night before going to bed. Moreover, all valuables like handheld electronics, credit cards and loose change should be removed from vehicles or hidden completely out of sight, the announcement noted. Do not leave any pocketbooks, wallets or keys in the vehicle, it further stated.

“By performing the #9pmroutine every night, you greatly reduce your chances of becoming a victim,” the notice encouraged.
