DENVILLE, NJ – Morris Knolls field hockey notched its first victory of the season, while the Lady Eagles volleyball and soccer teams fell to their opponents, and boys soccer managed a tie over the weekend.
Morris Knolls boys soccer tied Mendham, 1-1, at Mendham on Fri., Sept. 6. Offensively, Bobby Egner scored for Knolls. Goalie Sam Babicz had three saves. After two games, the 0-1-1 Golden Eagles continue their hunt for their first victory of the season when they face Chatham at home, Mon., Sept. 9, at 4 p.m.
Morris Knolls girls soccer also remain winless after Randolph defeated them, 1-0, on Fri., Sept. 6. With a record of 0-2, the team will play Mendham away on Mon., Sept. 9, at 4 p.m.
Montville volleyball defeated Morris Knolls, 2-1, at Morris Knolls on Fri., Sept 6. Nicole Florey, Reagan Smith and Skye Eppel earned eight, six and five service points, respectively, for the Lady Eagles. Annie Nolan had 25 assists. The 1-1 Golden Eagles will travel to Roxbury on Tue., Sept. 10, for a 4 p.m. start.
Following their season-opening loss, Morris Knolls field hockey shut out Pope John, 6-0, at home on Sat., Sept. 7. Hailey Aber scored two goals. Abigail Kalupy, Mackenzie Furlong, Claudia Ahuatzin and Rachel Grimaldi netted one goal each. Goalie Margaret Jancerek had two saves. The 1-1 Lady Eagles look to extend their record to 2-1 when they host Morris Hills on Tue., Sept. 10, at 4 p.m.
