DENVILLE, NJ – Just one team saw action over the weekend. Morris Knolls football ended its regular season scoreless against Northern Highlands, 39-0, on the road Fri, Nov 1.

The Golden Eagles closed the regular season with a 4-4 record, good enough to make the six seed of the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association North Jersey, Section 2, Group 4 Tournament. The team will travel to Chester, New Jersey, to face three-seed West Morris Central (7-2) on Fri, Nov 8, at 7 p.m., for the quarterfinal round. During their regular-season encounter, West Morris defeated Morris Knolls 35-14.

The winner of the quarterfinal round will advance to the semifinals to battle two-seed Old Tappan or seven-seed Mount Olive.
