NEW JERSEY - Governor Murphy made an announcement on Mon Nov 9 forbidding all interstate games and tournament for indoor youth sports. Following his announcement, the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) released a statement.

"We welcome Governor Murphy's announcement [Nov 9] prohibiting interstate competition for all indoor sports below the college level," said the NJSIAA. "NJSIAA already had restrictions in place related to interstate competition during the fall and for the upcoming winter season. So, while [NJSIAA]'s announcement doesn't alter our current guidelines, it does support our limitations on indoor sports activities", they said.
