RANDOLPH, NJ – The Morris Knolls varsity swim teams were unable to garner enough points to defeat Mountain Lakes on Dec. 19 at the County College of Morris in Randolph. Mountain Lakes girls won with a score of 105-65 and the boys with 122-48.

While none of the Golden Eagle boys finished first, Morris Knolls girls took first place in five events.

The four-member squad of Bailey Rynkiewicz, Katrina Vianello, Tara Wiarda and Caroline Weldon finished first in the 400-freestyle relay at 3:53.47.

Individually, Weldon finished on top in the 200 freestyle at 2:02.45 and the 100 backstroke at 1:00.63. Vianello won the 50 freestyle at 0:25.52 and the 100 freestyle at 0:57.63.

Morris Knolls boys have an overall record of 0-3, losing previously to Montville, 90-80, and Mount Olive, 100-69.

Morris Knolls girls are 2-1. In their first two outings, they defeated Montville and Mount Olive, 102-68 and 95-75, respectively.

Both teams will face Randolph on Mon., Jan. 13, at the County College of Morris at 2 p.m.
