LITTLE FALLS, NJ -- TAPintoTV’s Brian Brodeur is joined by Nick Donato Jr. of the Donato Financial Group. Established by Donato’s father, Nicholas Donato Sr., Donato Financial Group has provided financial advice for their clients for over 45 years. Donato described the services at Donato Financial Group as “bubble wrap” to the wealth of families and businesses.

“My Dad started our firm as a family business from 1973, so we’ve been helping people for multiple generations which is really unique,” explained Donato. “The unique thing was seeing the value of what he did and all the families that he touched,” said Donato. After studying Finance and International Business at Bentley University in Massachusetts, Nick joined his father in the family business.

Being that the topic of finances can be complicated and stressful, Donato explained how important it is to not get transfixed on the concept of rate-of-returns. “What we do with our clients is to just make sure that they understand that the markets are going to go up, they’re going to go down, and they’re going to go sideways,” he stated.

“Given our independence, we have access to all of the national platforms,” Donato stated. “We bring that national access through a personal, local, touch,” he continued. “Trust is probably the most valuable asset that we hold as a firm, but it’s something that’s earned,” he explained. 98% of our clients come to us through an introduction, through another family member or friend,” Donato added.

As a member of the American Business Associates (ABA), Donato highlighted the support that the group has provided and has allowed him to network with other business professionals. “What it’s done is it’s opened doors and identified synergies with other professions that I might not necessarily connect with,” he said.
