WAYNE, NJ — The Susan G. Komen North Jersey promotes local community awareness and access to high quality breast cancer care at the 2018 Women's Wellness Expo.
Susan G. Komen North Jersey Executive Director Kelly E. Nagle spoke to TAPinto TV staff at the event, which took place at Passaic County Technical Institute in Wayne, New Jersey.
"Komen's mission is to save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities, and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer," says Nagle. "We work with our communities to identify the needs and help make a difference."
The event was in partnership with the Passaic County Department of Health and Board of Chosen Freeholders.
“Living a healthy lifestyle is important to breast health and early detection is essential to a positive outcome not only for breast cancer, but for so many other critical health issues," said Nagle. “The Women’s Wellness Expo in Passaic County will go beyond raising awareness to facilitate access to care for everyone in our communities—insured or uninsured, provide health education and advocate for women to take action with their health. We are grateful to the Passaic Department of Health and all of our many generous sponsors who are helping us to save lives here in New Jersey.”
