American Legion 253 to Host Poker Run and Pig Roast in Memory of Russell Reisert

SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The American Legion Post 253 will be hosting a Poker Run and Pig Roast in memory of longtime Spotswood resident, Russell Reisert on Saturday, September 10.

Reisert passed away on March 16 at the age of 57. He retired in 2013 after 30 years of employment with the Spotswood Board of Education as a maintenance worker. Reisert was a life member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 253.

Sign in for the Poker Run and Pig Roast on September 10 will be held from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. The day's events will begin at 12 p.m. and conclude at 6 p.m. There is a $20 donation fee per person. The festivities will feature music from Sportin' Wood and will also include food, vendors and fun. People do not need a motorcycle to attend the event. All are welcome.

The American Legion Post 253 is also extending a special invitation to active members of the military for the Saturday, September 10 Poker Run and Pig Roast. Members of the military will be admitted for free with a valid military ID card. They are also encouraged to wear or bring their uniforms or fatigues. The American Legion Post 253 would like to take group photo of all the military attendees.

The American Legion Post 253 is located on 50 DeVoe Avenue.
