CENTRAL, NEW JERSEY – Ashley HomeStore of Central New Jersey and Staten Island is proud to announce their new community outreach program to benefit the communities where their guests and employees live and work. Ashley HomeStore CNJ-SI strongly believes in giving back to their local community in the areas surrounding their seven locations in North Brunswick, Linden, Eatontown, Woodbridge, Freehold, Green Brook, and Staten Island. Their community outreach program will focus on three main pillars of social responsibility; women’s issues and empowerment, underprivileged youth and community causes. They will concentrate on supporting community organizations, non-profits organizations, educational institutions, parent teacher associations, religious organizations and socially responsible businesses in their areas of focus. They aim to integrate program strategies that will allow them to expand their social impact and meet consumer and employee standards for long-term community partnerships.

The program starts at the very top of the company with President and CEO, Will Schafer.  Schafer has sat on the boards of many philanthropic organizations and strives to pursue altruistic endeavors both in his professional and personal life. He has deeply ingrained corporate social responsibility into the company culture at Ashley HomeStore CNJ-SI, "Our Company has a core value of fulfillment,” said Schafer. "Our heart is centered on our guests, associates, team members, and the community. We believe it is our duty as a socially responsible company to make impactful contributions to the communities we serve, whether it be furniture donations to a family in need or a financial contribution to a non-profit organization that services the community." Schafer, noted that approximately 10% of all marketing expenditures go toward investing in the community.

Since the program began in March of 2017, Ashley HomeStore CNJ-SI has supported 25 events and organizations in over 15 towns throughout Central New Jersey and Staten Island.  Ashley HomeStore strives to provide monetary, in-kind or logistical support to the organizations with which they partner. Their event sponsorships run the gamut - from PTA tricky trays to the Belmar Sandcastle Contest to The Phenomenal Women’s Expo and Luncheon which celebrates women’s empowerment. A few organizations that Ashley HomeStore has supported since the program’s inception are:

In addition, Ashley HomeStore CNJ-SI actively participates in the Ashley HomeStore “Hope to Dream” program, which is the leading community support program for the company. The goal of the program provides mattress sets to less fortunate children across the U.S.  A portion of every mattress sold at Ashley HomeStore CNJ-SI goes to donate beds to children in the community who are in emergency situations and are in need of a safe and healthy night’s sleep. Children are nominated for beds through their website at www.ahopetodream.com. Donated beds include a twin mattress, bed frame, bedding and a pillow (a $399 value). Each year Ashley HomeStore CNJ-SI hosts a celebratory holiday event in December providing beds for 50-100 children.

Let Ashley HomeStore CNJ-SI be your community partner and help you achieve your goals! Please contact Cristina Anastasio at outreach@ashleyhs.com or 732-658-8830 ext. 1125 for more program information.
