EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Nicholas Clemente struck out 12 batters in six innings and East Brunswick prevailed in a 3-1 baseball victory over Sayreville on Tuesday.

Clemente allowed four hits and a run and walked just one before turning the ball over to Chris Cap, who pitched a hitless inning for the save.

Tyler Burnham and Juan Ganzaroli each had RBI singles for East Brunswick (2-0), which also defeated Sayreville on Friday. The Greater Middlesex Red Division teams this season are scheduled to play home-and-home series against each other in the same week, so the Bears and Bombers are actually finished with each other now unless they meet in tournament play in May.
