EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - The East Brunswick baseball team built an 11-1 lead after four innings, squandered the whole thing and then pulled out a 12-11 eight-inning victory over Spotswood in the first round of the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament on Monday.

Nick Clemente went 4-for-5 with an RBI and three runs scored for East Brunswick (18-2-1). Spotswood (9-12) scored three runs in the fifth inning and then seven in the sixth for an 11-11 tie.

Ryan Flynn was 3-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored and Christian Shelley was 2-for-4 with three RBI for the Bears.
