EDISON, NJ - The East Brunswick varsity baseball team scored early and built on their lead, relying on another dominant pitching performance on its way to a 5-1 victory over the J.P. Stevens on Monday.

Senior Ryan Flynn's RBI single scored David Bermudez with the first run of the game. Bermudez later hit a home run. Junior pitcher Michael Falco dominated the Hawks on the mound, shutting down the first six batters he faced.

Falco finished with a complete game three-hitter, allowing no earned runs and striking out nine.
In the third inning, East Brunswick (3-1) added another run on a single from junior Brad Edwards allowing Falco to score. In the bottom half of the third inning the Hawks answered back with their only run.
