SOUTH RIVER, NJ  - The East Brunswick Bears had two players score more than 20 points en route to a 65-47 boys basketball victory over the South River Rams.

The Bears outscored the Rams in the first quarter, 16-10. East Brunswick was able to build a lead because they had caused matchup problems all night. Senior Dante Ralph was a force in the paint and totaled a team-high 22 points for EB.

In the second quarter the Rams were able to put up 12 points. However, East Brunswick still had a 26-22 lead entering the second half.

The third quarter was an offensive explosion for the Bears as they put up 26 points. Bears guard, Joe Sampson had a fantastic game, scoring 20 points, with 6 three pointers. 


After the third quarter the Bears already had a huge lead despite a great effort from Rams' player, Derrick Whitaker. Whitaker finished with 33 of South River's 47 points. 


East Brunswick defeated South River in a blowout victory, 65-47. The Bears have now improved to an 8-9 record.
